AWS Classroom Training

3M - Saint Paul, Minnesota

2020-2021

During my time at 3M, my team and I were selected to participate in several AWS Classroom Training Sessions. These sessions were provided to key members working on 3M's cloud migration initiative. The migration initiative focused on moving our on-premise tools to the AWS cloud and re-architecting them to use native cloud services. In the classes, we focused on architectural tradeoffs, operational excellence, security, relatability, scalability, performance efficiency, and cost optimization. We were also provided with access to Cloud Guru for self-guided learning.

B.S. Computer Science

Grand Valley State University - Grand Rapids, Michigan

2015 – 2019

I graduated in May 2019 from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor’s of Science, majoring in Computer Science. While taking classes I also workeds in the GVSU Atomic Object Technology Showcase as an Emerging Technology and 3D Printing Specialist. To secure my degree I had to complete a senior capstone project and an internship. During my junior year, I was an Advanced Analytics Enablement Intern in 3M’s Research and Development department. After the internship, I was offered a full-time position at 3M as an Enterprise Tools and Automation Engineer. These work experiences, in combination with my classes, gave me a well-rounded education and understanding of computing.
